As a faith-based program, we feel strongly about giving back to the community. Whether it’s collecting food for T.E.A.M. or sorting fabrics for We Sew Love, Independence Place loves serving others.

Independence Place takes part in many recreational activities. Basketball, fishing, bowling, and playing games are some of our favorite activities.

We like to be on the go. Fox’s Pizza, the Birmingham Zoo, and the Birmingham Museum of Art are a few of our favorite places to go. We are always on the lookout for our next adventure!

Through various daily activities, we continuously work on our life and social skills. We strive to be the best version of ourselves possible.

Any chance we get to celebrate WE CELEBRATE!!! Birthdays, holidays, dances, luaus, whatever the occasion, we live life to the fullest! And nothing is better than celebrating with friends!
